The SVG Europe Sports Broadcasting Fund is here to help you and others in our industry during times of need. Requesting funds from the Fund is simple, straightforward and can be done in a matter of minutes. The following guidelines govern our giving and explain the process for applying for and receiving support.

The SVG Europe Sports Broadcasting Fund provides financial support for industry professionals and their immediate families who have suffered injury, death or serious misfortune.

Funds are raised each year through the generous contributions of individuals and companies who support the sports broadcasting community. The SVG Europe Sports Broadcasting Fund (KBF) is managed by the King Baudouin Foundation. The King Baudouin Foundation’s articles of association featured in the appendices of the Moniteur Belge (the official Belgian journal) of 31 December 1975. The process for application is as follows:
-Applicant completes the application and has it co-signed by an “advocate referee” (see below for more details on what defines an applicant referee).
-The application is emailed to Ken Kerschbaumer at
-Application is checked over to ensure it was filled out properly and is then submitted to the advisory board for approval.
-Once approved the advisory board contacts KBF and informs KBF of how the funds should be dispersed to the recipient.

The SVG Europe Sports Broadcasting Fund Board reviews grant applications on a regular basis and gives careful consideration to those who are eligible.


In order to qualify for assistance the applicant must meet the following criteria:


Application Procedures

The Applicant’s Advocate Referee must ensure the application form is completed and submitted. Incomplete applications will be returned for completion. Our goal is to respond to applications as quickly as possible in order to make sure that assistance is received as quickly as possible.
